Georgia-Pacific's Crossett Paper Operations (NPDES permit #AR0001210) is in the process of trialing a new biocide treatment chemistry for our #2 Paper machine.  The change will include the replacement of Hercules supplied biocides to a Buckman Laboratories program and the use of additional Sodium Hypochlorite.   All four of the Buckman biocides being used in this trial are FDA approved.   We do not expect this process change to impact the efficiency of our WWTP; however we are monitoring the situation closely.   If you need any additional information regarding the purpose of this trial or about the additives involved, please contact Jim Cutbirth at 870-567-8144 or myself at 870-567-8170.
